MPinspired by pupils’ ideas on environment
TRACEY Crouch MP has told young artists from Eccles, Burham andWouldham how theymade her think anew about the environment after capturing the diversity of life in and around the River Medway. But their creations also gave headaches to judges
awarding prizes worth more than £800 in the second Peters Village community’s Tri-History Arts Competiton for primary schoolchildren in three neighbouring villages. Miss Crouch, who has returned to duties after the
birth of her son Freddie three months ago, congratulated the children, saying: “Your entries looked amazing and show just what nature and wildlifemeans to you. With little Freddie just coming into the world, it makesme evenmore aware of howmuch we all need to value the environment.”
Sponsorship was by Peters Village developer Trenport
Investments Ltd and site contractor Bam Nuttall and included workshops by visiting arts mentors.
