THE Liberal Democrats swept into the Allington ward at Maid- stone Borough Council with an emphatic win. Diana Lewins polled 1,117 (50%) beating the Conservative Barry Ginley, who gained 558 (24%) votes on May 5. The UKIP candidate Mo McDon- ald-Robertson came in third place with 388 (16%) votes. Labour polled 201 (9%) and the Green Party 31 (1%). The Lib Dem hold in Allington
