COMPANY PROFILE GUILBERTS CHOCOLATES 1. TELL US ABOUT THE HISTORY OF

YOUR COMPANY ● Guilberts Chocolates was irst founded in 1910 in the heart of Bristol, coincidentally where the irst chocolate bar was produced by Frys. The company continues to produce and work within the centre of Bristol’s bustling city, whilst distributing to local shops in addition to shops all over the country. In today’s society, the population is becoming increasingly bored with the stereotypically factory made, mass produced chocolates that no longer say “I was thinking of you” or “here’s something special”. Our aim is to create something much more than that. By using traditional methods and recipes that date back to its foundation in 1910, Guilberts have continued creating detailed artistry on small pieces of chocolate that are incredibly moreish and personal. We have built up a relationship with our consumers who know that good quality chocolate takes time and is something that is handmade with the inest ingredients. With little more than a bowl and a lightbulb to heat the chocolate, each individual fondant is hand dipped with a luscious layer of decadent chocolate and hand packed into strikingly designed boxes. If you are looking for something unique and personal, Guilberts is the one for you.

2. HOW CAN GUILBERTS PRODUCTS IMPROVE A DELI OWNERS BUSINESS?

● A delicatessen is all about inding a range of unique and different produce with a high quality that is not found in mass markets, and bringing them all together in one place for consumers who appreciate that little bit extra. This is what Guilberts is all about and its perfectly into the spectrum, with every piece of chocolate handmade with high quality ingredients, our chocolates are something that not everybody can ind everywhere. We often ind that consumers f

their little secr

consumers feel we are their little secret, and once people ind our stockists, they just keep coming back for more!

3. HOW WOULD YOU COMPARE

YOURSELVES WITH YOUR COMPETITION? ● Anybody can walk into a

supermarket store and pick up a box of mass produced chocolates and pay a small price, but really good chocolate is all about quality over quantity, as is the same with much of the produce that society consumes.

Guilberts offer something

completely different, completely handmade. Known for being 100% handmade, no chocolate at Guilberts will be exactly the same and that is something that many people appreciate with handmade gifts. Time is taken on each individual chocolate to ensure that the inest quality and taste is achieved and that is something that we take pride in. We have found ourselves in an era where more and more people are buying handmade and that is the epitome of Guilberts.

STATEMENT? ● As we pride ourselves in being 100% handmade in the UK, our mission statement would simply be: “Nothing better than handmade”.

4. WHAT IS GUILBERTS MISSION

5. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE COMPANY?

● Guilberts will continue to provide handmade quality goods as they have been doing for over a hundred years. We hope to continue creating zesty, exciting new lavours whilst also staying true to our older more traditional recipes.

Our hope is to continue being a company that is associated with the term handmade and to continue to provide top quality produce for our regular consumers and to be introduced into the hands of many more new ones. ●
