Recipe by Pushpa from Spice Hut


Balti Kheema Curry


2 tbspns olive oil 1 large green pepper sliced 750 g of minced lamb 2 large onions diced Salt as required


1 tbspn of black pepper 1/2 tpsn of cumin powder 1/2 tspn of coriander powder 1 tbspn of garam masala 1 tbspn of chili powder 1 cup of water


Fresh coriander for garnish


Heat the oil in a heavy pan, add the sliced peppers and stir fry until soft. Remove from oil, and put aside. Then add the diced onions to the oil and fry until golden brown. Then add all the spices and heat for a further minute. Add the minced lamb and the water and cook for twenty minutes, stirring regularly. Add the cooked peppers and mix well. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with naan bread or rice.
