Page 20 Book Review by Ivor Kindle
Book title: Siege Author: Jack Hight
Publisher: John Murray The year is 1448 and the Christian army lies defeated at Kosovo. The Ottoman Turk empire is on the march and is about to sound the death knell of the once all powerful Roman Empire.
Forward to 1453 and the Ottoman army lies at the walls of the Christian bastion
of Constantinople. Christendom has left the City and its population to fend for itself... can its massive City walls keep the Turk army at bay or is this the end of Christian in the near East?
An interesting book in the family of historical fiction... well written with
an ambitious plot that constructs itself over the life of the book.
Jack Hight is now on my list of must read authors.
