Robbie is a partner at Edinburgh Orthodontics, an established specialist practice striving to achieve optimal orthodontic outcomes for patients of all ages.
He graduated from Dundee in 1990 and completed his specialist orthodontic training in Cardiff in 1996, being awarded the William Houston gold medal in
the RCS Edinburgh M Orth examination.
In addition to adolescent treatments, he has had a special interest in adult orthodontics for some 20 years, including interdisciplinary cases and a full range of aesthetic appliance systems.
He has been a UK pioneer in the use of hidden lingual appliances and has published and regularly lectures on the topic nationally and internationally.
STEPHEN JACOBS

Stephen qualifi ed from Birmingham University in 1985 and went into general dental practice. He started in implant dentistry in 1992 and since then has placed or restored several thousand implants, and carried out more than 1,000 sinus grafts.
His training was carried out in the UK, USA and Europe and he now lectures extensively on all aspects of dental implantology throughout the United States, Asia, Continental Europe and the UK.
Stephen runs his implant referral practice in Glasgow, where all aspects of implant and reconstructive dentistry are carried out.
He is a key opinion leader and ambassador for Dentsply Implants and carries out practice based research in the fi eld of implantology.
Stephen is a Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology and a committee member of the American Academy of Osseointegration, and the UK Ambassador for AO. He is a founding board member of PEERS UK, and is the past scientifi c chairman of the ADI.
He is on the editorial board of three journals and runs a variety of courses at his practice, including a comprehensive year course for those willing to get started in the fi eld of implantology, sinus grafting and restorative programmes.
Stephen currently mentors several dentists and is experienced with many implant systems. He is regarded as one of the foremost implant surgeons in the UK.
ARSHAD ALI

Arshad is clinical director of the Scottish Centre of Excellence for Dentistry. Arshad qualifi ed with commendation at the University of Glasgow in 1978 and carried out 10 years of postgraduate training in Glasgow, Cardiff , London and Sweden.
He was the fi rst NHS consultant in restorative dentistry in
Wales and was also a consultant in restorative dentistry in Glasgow Dental Hospital and School. He has been involved in implantology since 1985 and has continued to develop his expertise in this area. He was a winner of the Creative Circles Award at the 40th Anniversary Nobel Biocare World Conference in Las Vegas and the Crown and Bridge and Implant Award at the Nobel Biocare World Tour Conference in London.
He was president of the BDA West of Scotland for 2014/15 and has given more than 250 lectures and courses in the UK, and worldwide. He has published numerous papers.
