BRUCE STRICKLAND
BDS, DipImpDent RCS Eng GDC: 66125
Bruce has been placing dental implants within general practice for the last 17 years. He works full time in implant dentistry alongside his dedicated implant team and dental technician. He is a lecturer and member of the International Team for Implantology.
Over this period, Bruce has placed more than 4,000 implants and worked closely with referring dentists from all over Scotland. His aim is to partner with other clinicians as an extension of their team and to provide a referral service, which enhances the treatment portfolio offered to their patients. To some, this partnership is the delivery of a completed case, for others it means hands-on clinical mentoring with full involvement in the restoration phase. Te clinic offers a full implant training programme to develop this involvement across the whole dental team.
ANDREW MCGREGOR
BDS, MSc, BSc MFDS RCS, MOrth RCS GDC: 80505
Andrew graduated from Glasgow Dental School in 2002 and went on to specialist training in orthodontics in 2007 at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He worked in hospitals and family dental practices for five years before moving to Australia to teach dental students at the University of Sydney.
In 2010, he attained his MSc in orthodontics along with the MOrth qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Since then he has worked at Park Orthodontics in Glasgow’s West End and bought into the business in 2012.
Over the last three years, Andrew and his team have transformed the practice from a purely NHS orthodontic provider into a modern clinic that offers all types of orthodontic treatment.
His major area of interest and growth has been in digital appliances whereby patient’s malocclusions are set up using computer software. Andrew has found the main advantage of digital orthodontics is that lingual fixed appliances are now producing results comparable to traditional labial appliances. As more patients seek the ‘invisible’ solution, technology is allowing his practice to hide appliances without having to compromise results.
Andrew is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, Scottish Orthodontic Specialists Group and British Lingual Orthodontic Society.
