• Wednesday 18th November, Dunblane Accordion & Fiddle Club at 7-30pm in the Victoria Hall Dunblane. The guests will be “ The Dick Black Band “. All players, any instrument, warmly welcome.





Saturday 21st November, The Dunblane Wildlife Watch Group - A Walk in the Wild Woods - with a prize for the best den made on the day! The Group is an opportunity for children to find out about our native wildlife and to get out and have fun exploring the countryside. Our indoor meetings are held at the Braeport Centre but we will often be out and about visiting local Nature Reserves and wildlife sites. The group is aimed at 8-14 year olds. • Sunday 22nd November, The Rosenethe Singers’ Autumn Concert will take place in Dunblane Cathedral at 7.30pm. The programme will be Mozart’s Requiem. In addition, the choir will perform Mozart’s Vespers and, to mark the name-day of the patron saint of music, Benjamin Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia. The choir will be accompanied by the Scottish Bach Players and the concert will be conducted by Matthew Beetschen. Tickets £15 (Concessions £12) may be obtained from Smallprint, Dunblane or Strathallan Pharmacy, Bridge of Allan or from any choir member. Alternatively, tickets may be pre- booked via the choir’s website www.rosenethesingers.co.uk.


• Wednesday 25th November, Scottish Women’s Institute meets with a talk & demonstration by Lakeland. 7.30pm in the Victoria Hall. Everyone welcome. £3.50 for visitor entry.

Friday 27th November The Beaconhurst Duathlon (running and cycling race) for youngsters aged 8 and above takes place at Stirling University from 9am. The competition will be followed by prize-giving at the school. For more information, contact the school on 01786 832146. www.beaconhurst.com


Friday 27th November Beaconhurst School presents an Expressive Arts Evening featuring Scenes from Musicals. 7-9pm in the Cameron Hall. Contact the school for more information.


Saturday 28th November PTA Christmas Fayre at Beaconhurst School, 10am-2pm. All are welcome to come along and enjoy the festive fun with a variety of stalls plus games for children. The Fayre takes place in the school’s Dining Hall and is open to the local community. www.beaconhurst.com

The Arts Guild is delighted to welcome Oxford Lieder Young Artists Rosalind Coad – soprano, and Gregory Drott - piano, to perform songs that tell of Paris and cabaret by such composers as Poulenc, Britten and Gershwin. • Monday 30th November The Dunblane Cathedral Guild, Cathedral Halls at 7.30pm we hear about one of our Guild Projects. Mission International is working with the local church in Haiti to provide a multipurpose facility for the people of Quanaminthe. Everyone is welcome to come along to all, or any, of our month’s events, we’ll be happy to see you! • Dunblane Rambling Club, once a fortnight on Sundays.
