Hello & welcome to the November edition of theWire!
This month sees the return of the Late Night Shopping Event that is Dunblane’s Christmas Extravaganza and this year it’s bigger and better than ever before!
Thursday 26th November from 3.30pm - 8pm.
Santa and a Special Guest will open the event with a procession along the High Street in Santa’s Sleigh, pulled by real live reindeer. Kids will then have the chance to visit Santa in his grotto and post their letters in his specially customised little gold postbox. Visitors will be entertained by musicians, singers, face painters, magicians and balloon modellers - all free of charge! Enjoy the festive atmosphere and take advantage of the shops and eateries opening late for the evening. At 8pm a fi reworks display will fi nish off the evening with a special Davis Cup themed display!
Friday 27th November there will be another chance to visit Santa’s Grotto from 2pm - 4pm. Relax in the calm atmosphere of the town and avoid the crush of Black Friday. Saturday 28th November we will be hosting a Festive Fiver promotion in participating businesses and Santa and some Special Guests will be visiting the town between 2pm - 4pm to entertain us all.
Sunday 29th November take part in a traditional family day by attending one of the many church services in Dunblane on Advent Sunday. Then wander through the high street to explore the shops as they begin Sunday trading for the festive season. It’s the last chance to visit Santa in his grotto, which will be open from 2pm - 4pm.
Don’t forget Bonfi re Night... the Round Table are putting on their annual display in Bridge of Allan and have the fantastic Skerryvore this year! Tea@3 was so popular last month that another date has been put on (Sunday 8th Nov), so book early...
December’s Christmas issue is a busy one so send your information in as early as you can. Deadline is the 9th November.
