Green Carrot grows on the airport campus

ometimes when travelling, or maybe most of the time, we take breaks from our attempts at a healthy lifestyle. We say, “Oh well, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” or “It’s okay, I’m on vacation!” When we return, we
usually take a few days to recover and get back on track. A fresh, cold-pressed juice from Green Carrot may be just the right nutritious solution to start or end your vacation on a high note. Green Carrot Juice Company opened their second Win- nipeg location this past spring at Winnipeg Richardson In- ternational Airport. Located in the Domestic/International Passenger Lounge, Green Carrot offers raw, unpasteurized cold-pressed juice combinations made from a variety of delicious ingredients such as apple, mint, pineapple, kale, strawberries, watermelon, coconut water, aloe vera, celery, cucumber, parsley, spinach, ginger, lemon, beets, carrots, or- anges, turmeric, cilantro and Swiss chard, to name a few. You’ve likely heard about the growing juice trend that ce-
lebrities and nutritionists alike have been promoting, but what is cold-pressed juice really? Green Carrot uses a spe- cial hydraulic juicer that extracts juice using a 2000psi press to give you pure, unoxidized, unheated, unpasteurized juice, made fresh daily. Tis process of extraction, introduces min- imal air and heat exposure resulting in very little oxidation, which helps to preserve vitamins, enzymes, trace minerals and nutrients up to five times longer than other juices. Sim- ply put: it is the purest form of juice. Tis means you can enjoy a cold-pressed juice without any fillers, preservatives, food dye, added sugars or chemicals, up to three days after extraction.
