Staff attended the focus group sessions for a variety of reasons which included:


 Understanding the need for CPD  Identification of what counted as ‘good’ CPD


 Knowing how CPD could be used better and could be used to their advantage


 Making their feelings about CPD known They suggested the following could improve CPD:


 More flexibility in the sessions (during holidays and term-time, lunchtime and evening sessions


 A wider range of topics  More focused and ‘timely’ opportunities  More opportunities to complete industrially linked CPD (in terms of their dual professionalism)
