This page contains a Flash digital edition of a book.
This is recorded as a graphic organiser so that paperwork is minimal, but information is quickly and easily communicated. Teachers do not feel outcomes are recorded, but that they have been involved in an active and reflective process that they have directed.

5. Contextualised CPD

Three CPD sessions for 30 minutes duration, were set up to follow team meetings within the curriculum area for engineering. Staff were firmly encouraged to attend the meeting and stay for CPD, unless they had teaching duties. Participants did not know what topic the CPD would be about, but did know the areas for improvement required after a recent Ofsted inspection. The topics chosen reflected these focus areas of promoting English, active learning and questioning techniques.

6. Staff focus groups

CPD sessions about CPD were offered to staff to attend voluntarily.
