SPORT Mearns Castle Golf Academy, In Partnership
With TS Sports, Launch The Paragolfer ONE OF SCOTLAND’S FIRST pieces of equipment that allows individuals restricted to a wheelchair or those unable to stand without aid, the chance to play golf in an upright position.
The Paragolfer moves like a motorised wheelchair, with upper body and leg support.

ll It also has the incredible ability to elevate the user to a fully supported upright stan- ding position, giving full inde- pendence to play golf. The Paragolfer can be used on Mearns Castle's 40 bay driving range as well as their short game area and 9 hole golf course!
At the launch of the Pa- ragolfer, they were joined by
four wheelchair users, three of which were past golfers who were absolutely deli- ghted that there was a pie- ce of equipment that would allow them to return to the sport. Each of the users, said that they felt surprisingly sa- fe in trusting the Paragolfer’s support with the weight of their body, giving them full upper body movement in able to swing a golf club. The support is also suitable for users that have limited core strength.
The Paragolfer was fun- ded by TS Sports, and wi- th the help of various fundrai- sing projects at Mearns Cast-
le Golf Academy over the ne- xt twelve months, they hope to be able to accommodate a second one!
The Paragolfer will be available at Mearns Castle Golf Academy, free of char- ge, for anyone with disabi- lities wanting to experience it for themselves. Their fa- cilities and PGA Professio- nals provide the expertise to allow golfers at all levels the chance to improve their ga- me. They ask that you call ahead and let them know that you would like to come and use the Paragolfer so that they can set up for your arrival.

Football Manager 2015 Lead East Kilbride FC to the Premiership and Beyond
A new modification for a popular video game lets you take the reins at EKFC.
ll With East Kilbride FC currently sitting pretty in the Scottish Sun Lowland Lea- gue, things are looking good for the team and for mana- ger Billy Ogilvie.
Imagine you could take yo- ur local team and build them into Premiership conten-
ders. That’s what a new mod for the popular football mana- gement simulation game Fo- otball Manager 2015 allows players to do.
Please call reception on 0416448200 for more information or to book your child’s space.
Developed by Sports In- teractive Community mem- ber ‘Morrissey’ from Aberde- en, players are able to take the reins from Ogilvie (sorry Billy!) and try to guide East Kilbride FC to the upper echelons of
Scottish football and beyond. For fans of the game previo- usly frustrated by only being able to play teams down as far as League 2, the ‘Scottish League Pyramid’ mod is the perfect antidote. For the first time players are able to select from clubs from all seven tiers of the senior game. With real world players like Goalkeeper Craig Gordon (not that one) and Joao Perei- ra Vitoria already in the squad, players can also access a pack containing logos for all the teams in the Pyramid, en- suring that authentic experi- ence. Since starting life as Championship Manager in 1992, Football Mana- ger has gone on to be- come a staple of the fo- otball community with clubs buying their data-
base in an effort to find the next star! You can find full details of the mod and instructions on how to install it check out:
