regular influx of talent. If the Spring League proves successful as a pilot, OCUA is looking to expand to both summer and fall Grand Masters Leagues as well. When one watches Grand Masters Ultimate, one of the surprising things is the quality of play that continues to be demonstrated. While some of the players may have lost a step or two on their deep strikes, the cuts remain sharp, the throws are quick, and the defense is still tight. In addition, players with that wealth of knowledge and experience can always be expected to use a varied arsenal of wily veteran tricks and tactics. With possibly hundreds of years of Ultimate experience lined up across from one another, you can certain that the games will be entertaining!
And while points will be tallied and scores and standings will be kept, the OCUA Grand Masters Spring League is expected to harken back to an older style of Ultimate, with a focus on spirit of the game, camaraderie, good-natured sportsmanship, heckling, along with post-game poems and cheers.
If you’re looking to try it out, and seeing what the Grand Masters game is all about, just follow the trail of grey hair and come join the fun!

The 2014-2015 indoor season was marked by the introduction of a new category of tournament, called ‘’serie 333.’’ Five tournaments were sanctioned ‘’333’’ and those tournament are a great way to introduce a recreational player to competitive Ultimate. Some tournaments are only one day, making them very accessible. Every tournament in this category is more oriented on community and spirit, which allows teams to get to know each other and reinforce the SOTG throughout the province.

On the 14th-15th of March, l’AJJUQ (Ultimate Québec) and the Fédération Québécoise d’Ultimate held the last 4-on-4 Ultimate tournament of the season. Mars Attaque was a blast, as usual, and Turbo Fluo from Québec was crowned the champion after an exciting universe point finish championship game over Ninjax from Montréal.
