During our weekend away to Kent at Cobham Hall, an amazing building with great scenery, we participated in a large range of activities.
They ranged from
practical activities such as building a green house and making miniature solar powered vehicles, to listening to key note speakers and going on tours of the Shorne Country Park.
On the first full day we heard a key note speaker called Tracy West and she spoke very passionately about how to be more eco friendly. We then continued by building a green house out of plastic bottles. It was a great team effort and everyone got stuck in and had a great time. After that we went on to go to Shorne Country Park which was just off the school campus. It was great fun and whilst we where there we got to learn about how to be more energy efficient.

On the second day we got to hear what Jill Butler had to say about trees: particularly ancient ones. She was very enthusiastic and showed us that they are more than just large pieces of wood.
All in all it was a fantastic weekend and we both learned a lot and were surprised at the amount of activities Cobham Hall managed to fit in such a small space of time.
