DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Dunblane Fling Weekend Thursday 28th May

So how many of you spotted it?

Spotted what? The new Dunblane Fling logo on the advert for the Saturday night Concert in last month’s Wire, that’s what. Hope you liked it.

We thought that after reaching the grand old age of 21 last year, that maybe it was time for a wee bit of a makeover. You might think that it’s not much of a change on the old one, but keep your eyes open – there’s more to come!

We didn’t do it all by ourselves though, Discover Dunblane has been a great help. Discover Dunblane is now an important part of the local community, so we thought it made sense to link with them. I’m pleased to say we have developed a good working relationship with them.

But don’t worry, all your favourite events will still be included in Fling Weekend from the Jazz Night at The Westlands on the evening of Thursday 28 May, to the Family Ceilidh on Friday night at The Victoria Halls, to Fling By The River on Saturday afternoon, the concert on Saturday night and the Survivors’ Party at the Folk Club on Sunday 31 May.

But we’re also looking at including a few more changes – we’re refl ecting Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink, we’re planning a new event for Fling By The River, and you might also have a bigger area to explore this year……..

We’re right in the middle of fi nalising our plans for the Fling Weekend – all will be revealed next month!
