ural wonders. Riding Mountain National Park is a remarkable part of Manitoba – a treasure trove for nature lovers, historians, explor- ers and families. Te three-hour journey northwest of Winnipeg offers a scenic drive through the prairies and its transition to the Manitoba Escarpment. Consisting of 3,000 square kilometres of parkland, Riding Mountain protects three converging ecosystems – fescue prairie grasslands, upland boreal forests and eastern aspen parkland – of- fering visitors a rich Manitoban experience. Wasagaming, the picturesque little town situated at Clear Lake that is home to few year-round residents, swells with visitors in the summer months. With a crystal clear lake for swimming, boating and fishing, a great boardwalk for evening or afternoon strolls, a playground for the kids, bicycles to rent, a handful of local shops and restaurants and a welcoming small-town feel, it’s no wonder people flock here year after year. Tere are cabins to rent in town within walking distance to everything or a multitude of camping sites in the surrounding park area. Wasagaming campground is one of the largest in Manitoba and offers full-service sites and tenting.
