Editor’s Message “I
t’s spring fever. Tat is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want— oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!” - Mark Twain Te dead of winter has passed and spring is upon us. Spring may take its time
coming, but it does, and with it comes a sense of renewal. Twain called it spring fever, that something that just gets into our blood this time of year. To me, it’s like an anticipation that’s been finally rewarded; it makes you want to get out, to revel, to celebrate. We are charged with excitement and want to do something, go somewhere and hurry spring on. If you’re itching to get outdoors, as I am, consider kicking off spring with a cultural experi- ence in Montreal or fun with the family in Minneapolis. Right here in Manitoba, you can unearth the secrets of the Manitoba Legislative Building,
or try to quench the fever by taking a break from it all at a local spa or somewhere far, far away. Here at Pegasus Publications Inc. spring has us celebrating as we toast our first full year of publishing Te Hub. It has been an exciting journey filled with discovery. We’ve forged great new relationships and look forward to an exciting year of creating even more. Along with Winnipeg Airports Authority, we will continue to bring you the best of Winnipeg, our airport and the many destinations to which Winnipeg Richardson International Airport can lead you. I’ll be taking a trip soon to quench my spring fever, so perhaps I’ll see you at the airport. It
really is something quite unexplainable – that urge, that spring fever. What will you do with yours?

vacations. Whether you’re from the area or visiting, there’s no shortage of fun to be found. In this issue you’ll read about some of the many day-trips around Manitoba such as the Nar- cisse Snake Dens and Riding Mountain National Park. If your spring vacation plans extend beyond our region, Winnipeg Richardson International Airport is happy to take you there. With over 75 flights departing daily, your vacation is just a short trip away. If you’re departing or arriving at the airport this spring, you may notice some of our friendly
Silverwing Ambassadors. Silverwings are here to help airport visitors; you’ll recognize them by their snappy black shirts and silver ties. Feel free to flag them down if you have a question or need assistance. We’d like to give a high-five to the team at Pegasus Publications Inc. as this marks the
fourth and final issue of our inaugural year of Te Hub! We hope you have been enjoying this quarterly publication and look forward to bringing you more news about travel, exciting destinations, local attractions and the people that make Winnipeg Richardson International Airport our community’s place to connect.
s the mercury rises and the snow starts to melt, we say goodbye to winter and the extra layers of clothing required to stay warm. Soon we’ll see buds on trees and an array of colourful flowers around the airport campus grounds. Spring is a time of growth and renewal, and this theme extends inside the airport this season where
