H
ighland Homes, the builder of the 2015 Project Playhouse, has created a
playhouse theme that gives new meaning to the word “countrified.” Highland and HomeAid Houston recently revealed the new playhouse theme “Highland Hill Country Playhouse.”
The playhouse design captures the country feel and look that is the signature appeal of the Texas Hill Country lifestyle. Highland’s playhouse is a rustic retreat for kids of all ages. With a vibrant red, white and blue exterior color scheme, Texas star accent and standing seam metal roof with copper chimney cap, this playhouse is a slice of Americana in your own back yard. The air conditioned interior features a play area with composite wood deck floors, a flat screen TV/DVD combo, decorative cedar beams and operable vinyl windows. The small kitchenette boasts Knotty Alder cabinets, Silestone countertops and a 6-pack mini fridge.
Highland Homes has partnered with HomeAid Houston and the Houston Astros to design and build this unique playhouse design. The playhouse will be on display at a number of venues before its final destination at Minute Maid Park, during the Houston Astros home stands
from May 29 through July 1. Raffle tickets are sold for $5 each, for a chance to win the playhouse in a drawing on July 1. Additional playhouse venues will include Aliana Home & Garden Tours on March 28 and 29, Cross Creek Ranch Fest of Tails on April 11 (open to residents only), Towne Lake Lake-A-Palooza on May 3 (also a residents only event), and the final destination at Minute Maid Park May 29 to July 1.
“Highland Homes has created a desirable playhouse design that will make any backyard a child’s dream,” said Greg Tomlinson, president of HomeAid Houston. “HomeAid can’t thank Highland enough for their hard work, inspiration and creativity that made this project so appealing to girls and boys and adults of all ages.”
