”Of the Year Winners,” continued from page 16 Gigi Lilly, Perfect Image Signs and Graphics
The Sales and Marketing Council is responsible for PRISM which is one of the association’s most successful events every year. Gigi, the current president of the SMC, plays an integral role in PRISM every year. She was key in transitioning into the new web portal for PRISM entries. A smooth transition was vital to the
success of PRISM and it would not have happened without her. Gigi works tirelessly every year to make PRISM the huge success it is time and time again.
Team GHBA
Leslie King relays in her own words, several person- al experiences with Team GHBA that have impacted her the most. “Three weeks after the Extravaganza last year, I got the shingles
vaccination and developed an allergic reaction to it. I lost almost all of my hearing. I was devastated and considered stepping down as president. When the news was out, this team sent me emails of encouragement and offered to help me with anything I needed. So, when my name was called at an event where I had to stand up, they would give me a signal. When I had to testify in front of City Council, Casey Morgan came up to the podium to interpret for me since I could not hear the questions. They sent me emails versus calling me to communicate and stepped up to the plate to make sure I was able to do what I needed to do. It was a tough first seven months without hearing, but we pulled it off, and most of you had no idea! This was due to all of the hard work by Team GHBA. Not only did they take excellent care of me, they also take excellent care of all our members.”
Team HomeAid Houston
HomeAid Houston, a group of passionate individuals, has worked hard in their ef- fort to help end homeless- ness in the City of Houston. They engage our members through their dedication,
compassion and their vision. They also work hard to ensure our members receive much deserved recognition for the millions of dollars worth of donations that are made in materials and labor for HomeAid projects, and to recognize the numerous volunteers who step up for events such as Project Playhouse, the Charity Golf Tournament, Corks for a Cause and many others.
