up their routes, working on the script, and of course she was instrumental in helping to plan the Extravaganza. She is also a key player in planning and implementing the yearly Million Dollar Circle Awards.
Kevin Bertlesman, Mainland Stoneworks
Kevin Bertlesman has proven to be passionate about many things, the Bay Area Builders Association being one of them. In lieu of a holiday party, BABA was faced with developing a new plan to continue initiating builder relations. Kevin stepped up to the plate, and in three short months, pulled off one of the most successful BABA events that the association has had in years—the Fishing Tournament. When BABA needed someone to take over as chair of the council, Kevin also stepped up and changed his membership status to builder so he could man the helm.
John Madsen, CPA, Bentley, Bratcher and Associates
Through the good times in the home- building industry, and through the bad times, John Madsen, GHBA’s treasurer for 14 years, has been involved in keeping the GHBA in a good financial position. He was able to help the association make some hard decisions during the down times that only strengthened the association’s position so the organization never wa-
vered and was only stronger through the economic recovery. The GHBA is the envy of every association around the country with its strong balance sheet, and this is due in large part to John’s strong business sense and passion for the industry.
Debbie Page, 1st Infiniti Enterprises, Inc.
Debbie is best known within GHBA and the industry for her hard work behind the scenes. She gives her time selflessly. She is involved in HomeAid Houston as a volunteer with Project Playhouse, She volunteers at the GHBA golf tournaments and EXPO, she offers her services driving judges around each year for Sales and Marketing Council, and she offers her time for whatever else is needed for proj-
ects such as the Frank Aranza Adopt-a-Family Project. She also volunteers for the Montgomery County Division, Ambassador and Membership Committees, and actively recruits members as a SPIKE. She can always be counted on to be available, and she never asks for anything in return. And last but not least, Debbie was also the 2014 Retention Spike of the Year, recruiting 10 GHBA members, and bringing back 30 members whose membership had lapsed.
