O.A.K.S. Sumer Day Camp


f you love to explore and discover nature, this program is for you! Hanta Yo! The O.A.K.S. Summer Day Camp program, for ages 5-12, consists of nine, week-long sessions, each emphasizing a different nature theme. Sessions run Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Children are divided into four groups according to their age. Each day, the groups are rotated through four activity stations: Art, Nature, Games, and Native American Traditions.

O.A.K.S. Summer Day Camp is located at Oak Canyon Nature Center, 6700 E. Walnut Canyon Road, Anaheim.


All camps meet Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm • Fee: $110/week June 15-19 (Week 1)


Where the Wild Things Are A wonderful world enfolds in this five-day investigation of the animal kingdom.


June 22-26 (Week 2) Mighty Mammals


Monkey around as we explore the wonderful world of mammals and discover the many places we inhabit.


June 29-July 3 (Week 3) Creatures of the Night


Ever wonder what goes “BUMP” in the night? Discover the special world of nature after dark.


July 6-10 (Week 4)


Raging Reptiles Learn about radical reptiles.


July 13-17 (Week 5) Ocean Commotion


Set sail to explore the wonders of the ocean.


July 20-24 (Week 6) Diggin’ Up Dinosaurs


Travel back in time 230 million years to the era when dinosaurs roamed the earth.


July 27-31 (Week 7) Rainforest Adventure


Swing with us from tree to tree under the leafy canopy.


August 3-7 (Week 8) Bugging Out


Lift a log, sift through mud, and follow the buzz in search of bugs, butterflies, and other critters.


August 10-14 (Week 9)


Mad Science A week full of crazy experiments and games to release the inner scientist in everyone!
