QF Focus Magazine Operate your TV with your Sky remote


I am often asked “How do I set up my Sky remote to operate my TV volume?” Here goes!


Your Sky remote control can also operate the basic TV functions (channel changing / volume control / text etc) on around 90% of TV manufacturers. The 3 or 4 digit code (Obtained from the link below) is used to identify the make and manufacturer of your TV.


Programming using the 3 or 4 digit code. 1. Press the “TV” button on the Sky remote.


2. Hold down the “SELECT” and “RED” buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice. Enter the 3 or 4 digit code for your make of TV.


3. The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 3


or 4 digit code used and go back to 1.


4. Press the “STANDBY” button on the Sky remote (The TV should go to standby).


5. Press “SELECT” to store this setting.


6. If the TV does not go into standby press


the TV button then the standby button, then TV then standby, keep repeating this until successful. This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.


Find Sky remote codes at http://sky.uebv.com/. Keep a note of your code as you may need to use again in the future.
