Bowlers at the club have been having a very busy time during January. At the time of going to press the Saba Pearls are holding joint top spot on points, with the Diamonds squad currently in fourth position. Our Southern League teams are having some very close games with our Swallows currently in third place, but with a few games to go.
Our Winter League team is in second position by 1 point and challenging to retain the title for the second year. Our Berleen team is in top spot, again, hoping to retain their title.
The Premier 20 Squad has reached the fi nal of the knock-out competition which has been running over the last few months among all the clubs on the Costa Blanca. This is an interesting competition where clubs play singles, pairs, triples and fours with 10 players at home and 10 away in each match.
Our Spanish International Players travelled down to Malaga at the end of January to play a test match against a strong squad from the Andalucía region. The test match, played over two days was won by Spain. Quesada Bowls Club is now pleased to be the headquarters of the Spanish Team.
The Club has a very active Social Committee, offering a range of events and activities.
