December 2014

h lawks, it’s here again in’t it, the C word, with all its lights and shopping and wrapping and mince pies and travelling and love and generosity and presents and fun. I

wish it could be Christmas every day.

Whether you’ll be Driving Home for Christmas, or planning to Stay Another Day, I’m sure that the combination of Mistletoe and Wine will cause no end of festive larks. Perhaps you’ll be on holiday, spending Christmas in Hollis, telling Fairytales in New York or giving your heart to someone special (special); hopefully if you have a little one, the Santa Baby won’t wail too much over its Two Front Teeth coming in.

All we want for Christmas is YOU, Norwich, with all your drunken, seasonal tomfoolery and hopefully some quality time with your loved ones and the telly. We at Outline aim to let in light and banish shade with this gift of a jam-packed issue, with interviews with Professor Green, Temples and Submotion Orchestra, along with a preview of the new Hobbit movie and a shopping guide to Norwich Lanes. Bingo!

Perhaps the best Christmas present you could give yourself this year is our super-special new app. It’s free to download on your IPhone, Android or tablet at http://bit.ly/outlinenorwich, and it’s so handy. It’s constantly updated with everything that’s happening in Norwich today, tomorrow, and always. From gigs to quizzes and everything in between, you srsly NEED this in your pocket. Did I mention that it’s free? What a treat!

We’d like to give an extra big sloppy congratulatory kiss to Norwich Arts Centre for winning the NME Best Small Venue award, and the Norwich Lanes, who won Te Great British High Street award, both in November. Norwich rules OK!

Let’s totally do this tinselly thing, and be grateful for all that we have and all whom we love. Same time next year, yeah?

IT’S CHRIIIIISTMAAAAAAAS!!
