Since re-opening its doors in Autumn 2012 the Coniston Hotel in Sittingbourne has certainly re-established itself at the heart of the community. Originally built as a private residence in 1880 the building
was opened as a hotel in the 1940s. The refurbishment in 2012 saw the building transformed into a stylish modern hotel with many of the original features and quirky additions contributing to its personality. The hotel can assure you of the warmest of welcomes with

of European and Med-inspired cuisine. For starters try the prawn, crab and salmon salad infused with horseradish and brandy, or the terrine of chicken and confit duck or perhaps the continental meat platter served with fresh figs and onion relish.
Main courses are also a delicious affair with choices
such as beef and wild boar burgers, slow cooked belly of pork with sage mash or roasted root vegetables and Kentish cider reduction. If you can find the room to squeeze in dessert then perhaps try the popular sticky toffee pudding drizzled with butterscotch sauce or chocolate pyramid filled with Baileys Irish Cream.
