Issue 158 Issue 158 August 2014
August 2014
h, hi Norwich! And hello to the hazy month of August, when, as Mark Twain wrote, your vocation should be your vacation. It’s the month for mucking about on
your bike down the rec, and going to bed when it’s still sunny outside. For sitting in a deckchair in a vest reading a Chris Ryan novel with a pint of Pimms. And lest we forget, for honking at the honey in front of you with the light eyes. Yup.
If you’re staying in Norwich this month and not jetting off to sun drenched beaches to do the humpty hump with other sexy- summer-people then that’s fine, we still think you’re as cool as a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce. We’ve got PLENTY to keep you busy, from sucking long and deep on a bottle of special new rum Ron de Jeremy at Rumfest, to auditioning to dance onstage at the Teatre Royal. If you’re in a band we’ll tell you how you can apply to be the Next Big Ting, and if you’re into movies or grub, we can tell what’s good this month. And as always, we’ve chatted to some top musical dudes coming to Norwich. Tis month we’ve chatted with pizza punks Cerebral Ballzy, and the beautiful Song Sisters. I’m gonna try and set ‘em up with each other for snogs ‘n’ that. Maybe.
But come closer…shhh…THERE’S EVEN MORE. Norwich Body Art Festival is currently slinking its seductive way towards Open for its sixth year of tattooing and piercing larks on 16th and 17th of August. You can find out all about it inside in our special pull out section.
If you’re not already our friend on Facebook & Twitter you ought to be, because there’s a wicked load of exclusive stuff on there, as well as on our website
www.outlineonline.co.uk, which includes special Latitude sections with our review of the best things we saw and incredible photos direct from those hot Suffolk stages.
Yeah! I’m off for a disco nap before all the fun starts. Catch ya later, buddies x
