‘When a shipment does not fit into a B747F, it might fit into an IL76. The IL76 is exactly between the B747 Freighter and the AN124. Plus, the IL76 does not need


sophisticated airport ground handling infrastructure. The self-handling capabilities of the aircraft are unique. This very often makes the IL76 the only means of transport for taking cargo to remote places in the world. That’s


exactly what this plane was designed for. IL76s are always the first aircraft to fly into disaster areas. The modernised IL76 allows us “to bring the airport closer to the client” instead of trucking cargo across Europe or paying for the bigger AN124. The new version also comes with lower noise emission. This is important, because in today’s freight forwarding business you can only qualify for bigger projects if you can prove you are taking the environmental aspect seriously. We can present the IL76 to our customers as a viable option also in terms of the environmental impact. Compared to the earlier version, the modernised IL76 really tiptoes into and out of airports. The IL76 is an ideal aircraft for the oil & gas and mining industries.’
