Welcome to the latest information and news about what is happening at Peebles Community Centre over the spring months and a reminder there is often room space available for bookings, especially at weekends. So if you are looking for somewhere to hold an event over the coming months, however big or small it might be, please give the Community Centre a call, they might just have the answer to your problems!


Adult Learning Classes


We work with adults (over 16) in the community to support learning in order to increase knowledge, skills and confidence for personal, work, family and community life.


Our Adult Learning worker is Margaret Smail and can be contacted either directly on 01721 726903 or via the Community Centre office on 01721 720975


Parents as Early Education Partners (PEEP)


Regular PEEP sessions are held in the Community Centre designed for mothers (and now dads) and young babies to enhance their children’s learning from birth by making the most of everyday learning opportunities. The following sessions are planned for the autumn/winter months on the following dates and times:


PEEP Babies (up to 12 months) 10-11am PEEP Babies (up to 24 months) 11-12pm


Baby Lunch Club every Monday between 12-1pm (have a coffee and a chat and bring your own lunch!)

Junior Youth Club The Junior Youth Club is running up until the Easter holidays and is open for all young people in the 8-12yr old range (P4-P7) every Monday evening between 6-7.30pm.


We are always keen to welcome new volunteers to help us run this busy club, especially young

Do you know of individuals or groups who would benefit from accessible use of the Community Centre over the spring months? We can offer:

Social get togethers Full kitchen facilities


• A wide range of indoor games and pastimes •


For the more active, indoor sports including badminton, netball, table tennis and more


• A place just to meet and chat (and enjoy a refreshment)
