The second meeting of the new session was held on Wednesday, 19 March 2014 and despite the Community Bus being unavailable at short notice, this was a very well attended meeting with 57 members welcoming Sinead Murray, Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology and Keir, Trainee Clinical Psychologist with their talk on Stress Management. I would like to thank Sinead and Louise for giving us a very interesting and informative talk, which along with the leaflets and relaxation CDs, was of great benefit to our members (especially me!)


I would also like to extend our appreciation to John Swanson for his technical assistance and for his continuing and invaluable help and support at each meeting.


The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16 April 2014 at 2:00pm sharp, in Peebles Rugby Club, Eastgate, Peebles. The Community Bus will operate as usual. Will


members who require the Community Bus, please remember that you must phone the Secretary (telephone number below) by 1pm on Monday, 14 April 2014?


Membership fee of £8 is now due and should be paid by the April meeting.


This is to


allow us to open up the membership to new members. If you are interested in joining Peebles Pensioners Association, please contact the Secretary to be placed on the waiting list.


The guest speaker at the April meeting will either be Heather Smith, Information and Advice Manager or Derek Young, Policy Officer accompanied by Lynn Allan, Information Outreach Worker from Age Scotland with a talk on Pension Reforms.
