Western Fair District - Mid West Horse Show


Sunday, September 16 was


the ORCHA Finals show with year end awards being decided with the final runs of the sea- son. The exhibitors did not dis- appoint the large group of spec- tators in attendance. We saw good reined work, good cow work and the most contagious enthusiasm at any horse show in the country! Positive criticism and nice compliments from our judge, Joe Carter, were greatly appreciated.

complete, an open discussion was held at our AGM and some new ideas were talked over for next year. Our election was held and our directors will remain the same for 2014. A financial statement was read and in the


end, the general consent was a very positive outlook for next year. Then everyone enjoyed a great steak BBQ cooked by Tim and Steve :) It cannot be left unsaid that


our shows would not be what they have become without our great sponsors. Elimination Race which was the highlight of the Saturday evening show. Who would think there would be such excitement with horses drag rac- ing against each other. This year the Purina Elim- ination Race was won by two time winner Kyle Ropp and Twist For The Money, receiving $200.00. Reserve went to first time exhibitor Julia Adams and Bonus Girl, receiving $100.00. Third and fourth place winners were Alyssa Dougall with Lucks Miss Bug receiving $60.00 and Montana Riley with Flying With Luck receiving $40.00. Random draw winners were Al Parsons and Shawna Ducharme who each received $50.00. Highlights of the show included Barrel Stake
