Another Awesome OBBO! The Ontario Born, Bred or Owned (OBBO) Futurity show was held on September 10-12
in London Ontario as part of the Western Fall Fair. The three day show held a full double bill slate of ORHA and NRHA classes as well as the 3 Year Old Futurity, Graduated Derby, Two Year Old Reining Pleasure class, Western Fair (Non-Sanctioned) Men’s and Ladies class as well as the popular Reining/Pleasure Combo class. Once again, the OBBO Committee for an excellent job of putting on the great show! Congratulations to all the participants and winners! Ontario Reiners invade the All American Quarter Horse Congress!

in the Columbus Ohio. The Reining started on Sunday October 6 and included a full slate of NRHA and AQHA classes well as NRHA Open 3 Year Old Futurity and the ever popular Freestyle Reining. It was exciting to see the results peppered with a large number of Ontario riders and horses as well as the stands filled with some many familiar faces. Ontario Reining Horse Association Proposed By-Law Changes
for a Certificate of Continuance. There is one small change required to the bylaws to be compliant with the new Act, and that refers to specifying the minimum and maximum number of Directors the ORHA may have. Below is the current wording, followed by the proposed wording. This will have to be approved at our AGM at the end of January, so we are posting advance notice as required by our bylaws.
Directors shall be comprised of the President, First Vice-President, Second Vice- President, four (4) elected Directors, and up to a maximum of four (4) Directors appointed by the Officers, or as many as deemed necessary by the elected Board of Directors . The appointed Directors shall hold office for a period of one (1) year. All other Directors shall hold the position of Director as long as their term of office. In the event the ORHA has retained an Executive Director as set forth hereinafter in these By-Laws, the said Executive Director shall not be a member of the Board of Directors. All members of the Board of Directors must be members of ORHA.
