MEMBERSHIP AND THE PRESIDENT A CONFERENCE IN PICTURES

LEVEL TO ADDRESS THE MEMBERSHIP CHALLENGE FACING OUR ORGANIZATION.

A

Fresh thinking has led to clubs being much more proactive their membership drive and has made it their number one priority for this Rotary year. Membership events are being held up and down the country with assistance from the district team who are here to help. These efforts are bearing fruit, we have over 40 new members recruited so far this year and more in the pipeline. Once inducted, the important work of mentoring that new member begins.

So I am encouraging clubs to get the recognition they deserve in their membership drive through the Presidential Citation. So let’s remind ourselves of the requirements and note the deadline for your application to be submitted. Under the heading of membership there is a required activity and a range of additional activities of which the club must complete at least three of them.

Clubs should complete the form and send it to the District Governor no later than 31 March. Additional activities (minimum of three needed) Initiate or update a new-member welcome and mentoring program. The list of additional activities is not exhaustive (full details can be found in the Citation form) but these are the ones, in my view
