ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP EUR


The flight to Frankfurt was exciting but having had a hectic few days, many of us took this opportunity to catch up on some sleep.


Finding the terminal at which our bus was, proved to be one of the most comical parts of the trip. As each unique event occurred, we gradually began to closely acknowledge each person’s worthy traits. The bus journeys, although long, always proved to be filled with talk and laughter. When we reached Strasbourg, each heart melted as we took the in the intricate details of each building.


The entire city captured us all and it was so genial of the leaders to allow us to discover the beautiful place in our own time. I was in awe of the famous cathedral and took in sights which will last me a lifetime.


Our hotels throughout the trip were so well designed and


catered for us to the highest standard. While there was some reluctance to try the German breakfast, I think it was due to the amazing standard we had become accustomed to.


Comfort and food were not spared in any element during the trip. For me, the character of the French hotel was undeniable.


While many rooms were quite modern, Jemima and I immediately settled into our haven of dark wooden beams and traditional features. Our dinner was delicious that night as usual and company was as always… the best!


Each evening around the table, I felt I could turn to any of my companions and talk to them about a variety of things. I have never felt like I have had so much in common with anyone before as I did with these individuals. Their unique personalities made them so
