Do you think you’ve brought your fans with you from S Club as you have a great following on Twitter and I guess your fans have grown up as you have too? The fans have been incredible. I’ve been doing a couple of gigs recently to promote my single and I was in Cambridge last night and the crowd were unbelievable and totally into it. I t’s quite daunting going out there as a solo artist coming from a group and also doing different material, but they were so into it, amazing, the support has been incredible, [laughing] really incredible. To be out of the public eye for 10 years, to be honest [laughing] I wasn’t expecting any support, so I’m so grateful.
What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever tweeted you as you have lots of male appreciation for your music video!! [laughing] You get lots of lovely tweets and supportive ones and then there are a few ‘out there’ tweets or cheeky tweets, which I’m getting to used to, which is fine [laughing]. The oddest one has to be – and they didn’t show their face, they had a cartoon character as their face – they asked me what blood group I am! [laughing] Odd!
Are you back into the promo side of things, as it’s long hours isn’t it? Yeah, it’s changed so much with lots of online and social network involved now so you can do so much promo by yourself now too! It’s full on creating a single and album, but not as crazy as it was in S Club 7, as we had TV shows etc. so our schedule was crazy!
You’ve been away from the limelight for 10 years, did you want to take time to just chill out and take stock and maybe do some living away from the limelight, as it was so full on for you? Definitely, I came back to reality and it was really odd for the first year or so adjusting to normal life again! Now I feel like I’m in a better place, as I’ve had that experience and I can now do my own stuff and make the videos I want, you know my own ideas and get them out

Last question – let’s talk fitness. You look in incredible shape, what are you doing to get that body perfect? Ahh thank you! Well I’m an ex-dancer, so I’ve always been very aware of my body and health and so if I feel like I’m putting on weight I’ll get into the gym, but I only do the gym every other day. I eat as healthily as I can, I’ll keep away from the junk in the week and have a naughty night at the weekend! I don’t do fad diets, they actually make you put on weight as you’re always worried about what you are eating and it makes you want to tuck into a big dinner! [laughing] I do Zumba every now and then – I love that, so just keeping active really!
