Missy Foote, Middlebury College women’s lacrosse coach, was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in October 2012.
Bruce Mitchell, Edward (Ned) O’Meara ’72, and Dennis Sbrega ’69 were part of an effort to have the facility hous- ing the Holyoke High School pool named the Claude Morin Natatorium, which became a reality in May. Claude Morin ’58, former Holyoke high school swimming coach, passed away in January 2013. While coach- ing at Holyoke, he had 53 consecutive wins and a career record of 82-7 wins between 1967 and 1972.
1975 Peter Chandler is the athletic director and boys’ and girls’ soccer coach at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette, Colo. He and his wife, Jeri, have six children, including quintu- plets, who all graduated from college last May. Chandler coached the Peak to Peak girls’ team to a state championship, but had to skip the second round, quarter final, and semi final games to attend gradua- tions in Maine, Vermont, Nebraska, and Colorado.
Nancy Hanlon is starting her 33rd year as an occupational therapist in San Diego County, California. She is working at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City. Hanlon also works as a real estate broker,
focusing on property manage- ment. She would like to say hello to all of her fellow class- mates.
Ginnie LaVallo (G ’77) has been honored by The Eagle-Tribune which has named its gymnas- tics coach of the year award for her in recognition of her success as a gymnastics coach in Salem, N.H.
1976 Theodore D’Alessio, in 2011, and William Edelman, in 2012, were selected as athletic direc- tors of the year by the Directors of Athletic Administrators in New Jersey. D’Alessio and Susan Robbins ’97, G’00, received the distinguished
service award presented by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association in honor of their service, accom- plishments, and contributions to interscholastic athletics.
Suzanne Nixon, owner and director of Inspirational Journeys LLC, led an east coast lifestyle wellness journey in September 2012 at the Homestead Inn in Hot Springs, Va. Her company specializes in helping people achieve personal health goals and expe- rience lifestyle wellness.
