CAMILLA’S CONUNDRUMS camilla’s CONUNDRUMS Coming Down To Earth With A Bang!

My husband and I often garden in the nude in our Hunter Wellie’s and have done for years, as we feel really at one with nature and more importantly each other. I should point out that we only pursue this activity in the rear garden, which is completely private due to an abundance of fauna, foliage and undergrowth. Our friends feel that we should give up our hobby now we are becoming older, and things are starting to head south, what do you think? AA Stock-Heartyweather. Village, Can’t mention for obvious reasons near Frome.

Answer

I believe we have all lost our ability to be at one with nature, so I totally approve of your earthy antics, especially as you are both being discreet. I think the worm would turn however if you were overlooked, so lets hope your neighbours are not nosey, determined and voyeuristic!

Cross Contamination

I used to have a high-powered job in the city; I am now retired. My wife believes I have become somewhat anally retentive over household processes. For instance, I insist upon household general cleaning cloths being colour coordinated to ensure they are reserved for their particular job duties, and our three mops (with their matching buckets) and duplicate cleaning paraphernalia for pets is similarly treated. Do you believe I am being unreasonable? Please advise as my wife totally resents my involvement and is threatening a divorce. We are both turning 70 this year. Mr Gunthrop. Used to reside in Broughton Gifford. Writing from daughter’s house in Westwood!

Answer

Colour coordinated household clothes and other household cleaning contraptions do actually serve their purpose and prevent many possible and unimaginable grotesque situations! I will recount a story of a girlfriend of mine, which completely supports your household system. She arrived home late to find the most wonderful sumptuous surprise supper laid before her, cooked with love and affection by her new companion. He’d even gone to the effort of scattering rose petals on the white linen table and had lit a sea of candles which had been strategically placed around the room. After several wines she glided into the kitchen after consuming this culinary delight, only to find her dog’s large feeding bowl and pink cloth for cleaning the toilet accompanying each other in the kitchen sink!

Objectionable Platters!

I can’t abide sharing such things as glasses, cups and so on with other people, and I particularly loathe these fashionable, shared platter dishes which many gastro places have readily adopted which I find totally objectionable. This is causing me many issues during social occasions. My hatred of all of this comes from a hygiene perspective. My problem is exacerbated during the Summer, when people seem to be even more laid back and familiar with one another. However, I am a very sociable fun loving person. AD Kingupwards, Wraxall.

Answer

I think your problem has many benefits for those around you! Especially when there’s a limited amount of fine wine involved!
