FRINGE BOA


FringeBoA Festival takes off!


on Saturday 31 August and runs until Sunday 8 September. Be prepared for a week full of fun, interest and crazy events for all the family, with help from the Bradfordians, Film Society, Wiltshire Music Centre, Made in BoA, Town Council and many others, with support from many volunteers.

t last, the fourth Bradford on Avon Fringe Festival starts


Set-piece events


The opening family party in Westbury Gardens on Saturday 31 August is sponsored by Linden Homes and features the making of a clay sculpture by visitors, young and old alike. A music marquee provides acoustic entertainment and dance, there is generous provision for food and drink, including a bar, and much browsing of stalls. The focus of many activities is on children: making and painting things or being painted, games, swing boats and bouncy castle. And start buying your prize draw tickets.


Fringe at Lamb Yard takes up all of Saturday 7 September, with the hilarious books experience


for children, acoustic music at the Coop Café, an art show by Kawai Law and fellow students at Trowbridge College, the end of the film-in-a-day competition, a showing of tyre swans, a display of the Millennium Tapestry at the Linden Homes showroom, plus surprises.


The Party at Poulton on the same Saturday is a truly family afternoon organized by local people but with increasing input from other community organizations that are trying to improve leisure and social facilities, particularly for younger people.
