STUDENT AWARDS

MATHIEU PERRAIS  Award: Commended

College/University: Lahti University of Applied Sciences

Judges’ Comments - “Good concepts/mock ups. The boards are quite limited, it would be good to see more evidence/explanation of ideas.”

 JUSTUS KANTAKOSKI Award: Commended College/University: Lahti University of Applied Sciences

Sponsor’s Comments - Trevor Hatchett, Head of GM Packaging, M&S. “The entry really answers the brief well. It has found a potential end life for one of the more difficult materials. The quality of the sample and boards was excellent. The only student to look at the end of life too.”

Judges’ Comments - “A well made garment, a lot of time and care has obviously been taken. It would have been good to have seen more 'recyclable' materials used in the final garment, not just the ribbon.”

CHERISH COUPLAND  Award: Gold

College/University: Grantham College Judges’ Comments - “A very clever take on the

brief with endless possibilities. Very well presented and cohesive presentation. Well done.”

 CHAONAN LI Award: Silver

College/University: City of Bristol College

Judges’ Comments - “A show stopper piece. Obviously a lot of time was spent creating this concept. This would have marked higher if more 're-use of packaging' was evident. Still a really neat presentation.”
