with the facts coming out it gave cause for pause on speculations and rumors by many, as several revelations came to the fore that put the online rumors to rest. Some of the rumors which had started to


take root out there were that Pistorious had shot his girlfriend due to ‘Roid’ rage a behavior associated with people who take steroids, and this rumor got its start from the very South African police force which had been investigating the incident. Reports from the po- lice were that they had found steroids at the home of the Star, after a thor- ough search was conducted following the arrest of Pistori- ous. But that rumor was squashed after it was found out that the alleged steroids were nothing but herbal remedies that were perfectly legal and not listed on any banned substance list.


The second rumor was that Pistorious had been an abusive boyfriend to the Late Ms. Reeva Steenkamp especially due to sudden outburst of rage which some alluded to his use of steroid, be- cause a neighbor in the Pretoria neighborhood where Pistorious lived had claimed that she had heard some noises that sounded like a domestic dispute. The statement which was taken into evidence by the police was all but struck out upon examina- tion that the neighbor in ques- tion lived a half a mile away from the star and un- der normal cir- cumstances would not have been able to hear what she claimed she did.
