ASM: You have tried the full marathon a few times and have been successful in some races, do you think you are a true marathoner or are you satisfied with your domi- nance in the half marathon along with the 10,000 meters
Wilson Kiprop: I am in fact moving to compete in the full marathon as soon as I make my come back fully in training but I cannot abandon the half marathon.
ASM: Now I asked the question about the 10,000 Meters which you won at the 2010 African Athletics Championships in Nairobi and also was selected for by your national federation for the London Olympics what is your perspective about that race and do you love that event?
Wilson Kiprop: I love the event because I have ran it since I was thirteen
ASM: You have three Gold medals to your name, from both the half Marathon and the 10,000 meters what are your goals now at this stage in your career … since you have accomplished quite a bit in the arena of the half Marathon and the 10,000 meters races?
Wilson Kiprop: What I have done will remain in history but I hope one day I will rep- resent my country in a major championship
ASM: What do you consider your best attribute as an athlete?
Wilson Kiprop: My best attribute I would say is humility, since I was born in a poor family but I can say now that life has changed and that the basic needs are no longer a problem, and I pride myself in providing support to upcoming athletes.
ASM: What advice would you give to up and coming athletes?
Wilson Kiprop: Self discipline, have love for what you do and seek advice from the experts.
ASM: Thank you for the Interview. Wilson Kiprop: You are welcome.
