Wilson has had a lot of ups and downs in his career but has continued doggedly to train to try and regain those top perform- ance levels he once enjoyed and some- time in the very recent past I caught up with him and we had a conversation about his life, his passion for running and his future;


ASM: Tell us about who Wilson Kiprop is as a Person and the athlete.


Wilson Kiprop: I am a Kenyan athlete born in the Uasin Gishu District, who runs the 10k, half and full marathons.


ASM: What is the Highlight of your Career so far


Wilson Kiprop: My victory in the half marathon in Nanning, China back in 2010.


ASM: One can simply call you the “King of the half Marathon”, what makes you so dominant over this distance? Wilson Kiprop: I love it and specialize in its training


ASM: You have been hampered quite a bit by Injuries, how has that affected your pro- gression and sustenance in the sport


Wilson Kiprop: Injuries have been a barrier that has put me out of the road several times and my biggest blow was the Olympics
