7. Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation: Dennis Serpa reported the convention will be held in Las Vegas, February 28-March 3, 2013. This will be a good venue
for BCHC.
8. Pay Pal: Chip Herzig reported on the costs to use it. Motion made and carried, to use Pay Pal with service fee for membership dues.
F. New Business:
7. Proposed by-law changes: Chip Herzig and Dan Horn used a power point presentation to show all the changes. First Reading for all the changes EXCEPT Article VII, involving the Membership Chair. (Membership Chair was Second Reading)
-all changes were approved. Documentation is listed in the Minutes of the BOD meeting, October 13, 2012.
1. BCHC dues increase: Dan Horn explained the process. Motion to increase dues $5.00, starting January 2013, approved.
BCHA dues increase: start collecting $5.00 in 2014 if passed. Motion approved.
2. Volunteer Hours: Carrie Johnen reported on the awards given at Rendezvous- if you win one year, you cannot win the award for three years. This includes the individual award, unit education award, and the service hour’s award.
3. BCHC Summer camp: Dennis Serpa and his unit are working on the idea of a 3-5 day camp for kids.
4. BCHC is looking for a Public Relations person. Contact Dennis Serpa if interested.
G. Other Business:
1. Elections: all officers will remain the same for 2013 except for Public Lands- welcome Bob Gage as our new VP. 2. Mid Valley calendar project is over the breakeven point. 3. Sam Burrows thanked the Executive Board for their work.
4. Los Padres Unit President, Bill Chaides invited everyone to the Fall Camp and Ride at Live Oak, near Santa Barbara by Lake Cachuma.
5. Next state meeting will be held in Visalia on February 22-23, 2013.
H. Adjournment: meeting was adjourned at 5:30pm
