This their 11th outing, saw them attempt a fourth title win, having been crowned champions in 2003, 2004 and 2009. However, it was the Spanish duo Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez who were crowned doubles champions.

It’s pretty evident looking at the achievements of the top 3 seeds, Djokovic, Federer and Murray respectively; a whopping 23 Grand Slam titles between them, an Olympic Gold and 7 ATP wins.
The euphoria of the 17,000 strong crowd made this an unforgettable experience. Some of the points played were remarkable. Tsonga’s serve - clocking a staggering 144mph, Djokovic’s athleticism. The elegance and pin point precision of Federer and Olympic Champion Andy Murray’s sheer brilliance.
