The Big Question: What is the most fun Southern city to spend a weekend in and why?

KUDZOO: The Winning is Only Beginning!

THE VINE Welcome to our Holiday Issue!

By now, hopefully, all of that turkey and dressing has settled and you are into the whole Christmas shopping thing. This issue, we offer just a few gift suggestions. Some books and music that we have already checked out and are enjoying here at the office. We are thrilled to bring you some really good rock and roll interviews this time around, including Tommy Talton, a true legend of Southern Rock. Co-founder of the band Cowboy, one of the first acts on Capricorn Records in the early ‘70’s. Talton talks all about his music, including his hot new disc, Let’s Get Outta Here. Billy Crain of The Outlaws talks to Kudzoo about the band and their new album It’s About Pride, and his new solo album Creole Shoes, and guitarist Michael Shipp (see issue #2) interviews the great southpaw guitarist of Point Blank, Rusty Burns. And as if that wasn’t enough, Randy Joe Galloway sits down with us to discuss songwriting and life as a relative newcomer to Nashville. Of course, there are the usual reviews of stage, CD, DVD, books, restaurants and such, along with recipes and tons of great photographs. New this go around is our Poetry page and the debut of a regular column from North Carolina’s Susan Redding. And remember, KUDZOO is interactive! Click on the URL in any advertisement or article, or e-mail address, and open the target link in a new browser window! Also, be sure to look for the musical links at the end of each interview. Click and listen! Of course, there are videos as well, which are self explanitory. Looking for back issues? Just visit www.universalmusictribe.com, and click on “KUDZOO Archives.”

Finally, I wanted to say a big “Thank You” to all of you for read- ing and sharing the magazine. Response has been overwhelming! Thank you! We have some exciting surprises coming soon...

Keep it Real! Keep it Southern! Michael Buffalo
