working. Everything from the order of the songs to the songs themselves, it just really makes me feel good. Next question. It wasn’t too long ago that you and Scott Boyer got back together as Cowboy, and recorded a really nice live album down in Macon, Georgia. You guys played some shows. How was that reunion for you? And also, are you going to be doing some more of those shows?

Well, we actually just did another one recent- ly. That was in 2010, when the album was recorded I think. We just did another one at Chastain Park in Atlanta with Wet Willie, and Chuck Leavell and Randall Bramblett Band.

That was the Capricorn thing? The Capricorn Experience. By the way, I want to let everybody know I just received your book (Prisoner of Southern Rock) and it’s wonderful. I’ve already dove into it and everyone should get a copy. It’s very good reading.

My wife, Patty, will say “What is that you were just playing? Is that old?” And I’m like, no, it’s brand new -

gigs with, at least a six piece band, so I can get some horn stuff going, like you’re hearing on this

new project. I’d love that.

I hope to be playing in a city near you, no matter where you are. I appreciate you help- ing me get this out in front of the people, too, Michael.

Well, you know whatever little bit I can do to help, I’m going to do it. I’ll be promoting this thing tirelessly. Of course with Joe Bell, he and I kind of

in fact it’s like 15-seconds-old. But anyway, my point is, things are flowing pretty good. I don’t know why, and I don’t question it. It’s coming and it’s making me feel better, and hopefully, someday, it will make others feel better. I’m going to try to be doing some live
