Solicitors Marcus Lee & Co joins the B P Collins family
B P Collins LLP is expanding still further with the welcome addition to its family of fellow Gerrards Cross solicitors Marcus Lee & Co.
Its founding partner Marcus Lee and solicitor Mary Lee both joined the practice on Friday August 10, literally bringing them just a few steps across the road from their Station Road offices.
It is the second such move for B P Collins in 2012, which brought Fairchild Dobbs into the fold in January.
David Stanning, B P Collins’ senior partner, said: “We’re thrilled that the Marcus Lee team has joined us and welcome both the experience and skills which Marcus and Mary undoubtedly bring. Both are extremely well-known and respected within the town and we know that they share our same passion and commitment for serving the local community, so this is an excellent ‘fit’.
“It is also an opportunity for us to share our range of services with their clients and we very much look forward to doing so. 2012 has, so far, proved to be an exciting year for all of us and we are delighted to be going from strength to strength.”
Qualifying as a solicitor in 1980 Marcus Lee has, together with wife Mary, run his own practice in the town for some 25 years. He will continue as a consultant in B P Collins’ property practice while Mary, who qualified in 1984, joins as a consultant in the private client team.
Accompanying them will be Jackie Hill, a valuable member of their team, while their litigation manager Tony Shinner is moving on to new ventures, with the best wishes of his former colleagues.

to look ahead and consider how best to serve clients as they move towards eventual retirement.
Specialising in both domestic and commercial property transactions, especially those where complex contractual terms are required, he said: “It has been very important to us to work with a local practice which, in the longer term, will continue to provide our valued clients with the same professional standard and personal attention that we have done over the years. We believe in B P Collins we have found exactly that.
“As we join their practice, our priority will still be to work with our clients, while being safe in the knowledge that they will now also have access to an even greater range of disciplines and expertise which can only be to their advantage.”
Mary Lee, a member of Solicitors for
the Elderly (SFE), has a specific interest and experience in advising clients on making wills, lasting powers of attorney, handling probates, managing the affairs of the elderly and deputyship work.
She believes the consolidation of expertise will prove beneficial in giving clients a more effective service with the breadth of specialism that only a larger practice can provide.
She added: “This was an important decision for us and our clients, but one which we have given careful consideration to. We are delighted with the move and know that in joining B P Collins we are doing absolutely the right thing to ensure our clients’ future requirements are taken care of in the way we would wish to do so ourselves.”
Founded in 1987, Marcus Lee & Co provided a wide range of services across both private and commercial matters.
