SCOTT Nicholls now has the British Championship record all to himself. After equalling the six wins achieved by Barry Briggs last year, the Coventry rider added a magnificent seven at Monmore Green.

Nicholls, who bounced back from collecting just a single point from his first outing to win his next five rides, including the final. And he twice beat his arch-rival Chris Harris, from the back. This year’s result was exactly the same as 12 months earlier ... Nicholls, Harris, Woffinden and Edward Kennett.

Nicholls showed terrific determination throughout and now takes the wild card slot at the 2012 FIM Fogo British Speedway Grand Prix at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on Saturday, August 25.
