When you work in the fast moving pace of the packaging industry it's often hard to take the time out to value the level of effort involved in taking a product from concept to market but our judging panel did exactly this, and were able to see the importance of even the smallest of details that go into identifying those entries truly deserving of the "award for excellence. For me the Greenstar and Technical Innovation categories
opened up the competition to a wider audience and showed us that sometimes it can be the difference between taking a great idea and just making it better, be this through increasing the environmental considerations or a new process that enhances the product, or even the removal of a process all together.
