Brief E - New uses for corrugated board
DS Smith Packaging is a division of DS Smith Plc who has revenue of £2.5 billion and employs 12,000 people. An extensive network of production facilities supply a diverse range of corrugated products; from retail ready packaging, transit cases, consumer packs and point of sale display materials, to heavy duty industrial products.
The Brief – a snapshot Corrugated board is a versatile, cost effective and environmentally friendly medium offering great structural strength from relatively light material. It is extensively used in packaging (e.g. for boxes, trays and cases) and also to make other products. Your challenge is to Either: offer a pack, made from corrugated board, as an alternative to any existing packaging made with other materials. The Prizes – Awarded for themost outstanding entries - £500 for 1st prize, £250 for 2nd prize and £125 for 3rd prize.
